Knighton Town Football Club is a football club founded in 1887, based in Knighton, which is a small market town on the border between England and Wales, which is predominantly in the county of Powys which overlaps into Shropshire, England. The club plays all its home games at The Showground, Bryn y Castell which is also home to the towns Cricket and Hockey clubs.

The club has played in mostly all the main Welsh cup competitions and league pyramid, mainly what today is known as the Spar Mid Wales League. The Club spent seven years in the 1990s at Level 2, playing in the Cymru Alliance but resigned during the 1998–99 season to return to local football due to insufficient funds for players and travelling.  Knighton have been Welsh Cup Semi finalists twice and have played against professional sides such as Cardiff City and Hereford United in the Welsh Cup. Knighton  have also played in the English League System for several years in the early 1900's  and competed in the F.A. Trophy.  In recent years the club has declined and doesn't even have a reserve side any more, it now plays in the bottom tier of the Welsh pyramid which is soon to be renamed The Mid Wales League Divison 3 South(level 5).

For any potential owner or chairman this club does have good support base if utilised, it is in a beautiful community setting and has a ground which is expandable  and can be  easily upgraded to host Welsh Premier League football. It currently has good floodlit, club house and changing facilities.
